Todd Edwards
Todd Edwards
UK Garage/House producer from New Jersey born on 9 December 1972. The sound of Todd Edwards is characterised by a hypnotic collage of short cut-up samples over swung US garage beats and lively disco flavoured basslines. He started his musical career around 1992-93. Influenced by Marc Kinchen, whose 'MK' remixes featured vocal reconstructions ('Push The Feeling On' by Nightcrawlers, 'Can You Forgive Her' by the Pet Shop Boys among others).
Credited as one of the godfathers of UK speed garage, Edwards is also a committed Christian and often mention 'Jesus' and 'God' as his primary sources of inspiration. He has been an example for a lot of artists, from MJ Cole, to Daft Punk and Akufen.
Todd has created remixes for hundreds of artists like Wildchild, St Germain, Nicole J McCloud, Mad Moses, Robin S., Dimitri From Paris, and Benjamin Diamond. His way of work is to cut up between 50 to 75 samples (especially gospel, R&B, disco flavoured ones) and apply them in various patterns with the actual vocals on top.
Sometimes, small 'hidden' messages are heard throughout his tracks. They commonly refer to 'Jesus' and love. According to him, the weirdest sample he used was his father's voice on 'Saved My Life' (1995).
His own releases were generally praised: "Prima Edizione" (1999), the "Full On" and "New Trends Sounds" series contributed to his success.

Rachel Torro
Rachel Torro
Rachel Torro is a DJ based in San Francisco, California who has spent the last five years making waves on the house music scene with eclectic and uplifting sets whenever she is in the booth. Her foray into electronic music curiously began at 15 when she found herself on a dance floor at a massive rave in Kansas City. Influenced by the likes of David Bowie to obscure German techno, Torro embarked on a journey from her home in the Chicago suburbs and headed out west to Colorado, then later to San Francisco, collecting and mixing music, while immersed in a world of colorful post-adolescent raving.

As a creative selector, Torro tests the boundaries between minimal, deep, and tech house styles, uniquely layering a blend of rich sounds, both playful and sophisticated all the same. She has an innate ability to hold the attention of a dance floor and take it long into the night, whether playing in San Francisco, Berlin or distant desert landscapes. With her previous residency at Public Works, Torro has shared the stage with the legendary Pete Tong along with NU, Hot Since 82, Mira and Lee Burridge. She is also a resident of infamous New York party collective, ZERO, known for their lavish boat parties and contrasting warehouse events. With a growing fan-base hooked on her marathon sets and unfailing warm energy on the decks, Torro is a powerful woman rising in the underground dance music community at large.
Motion Potion
Motion Potion
Motion Potion wants you to know that you are not alone. He shares your intense love, respect, and admiration for Radiohead, Colin Greenwood, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Phil Selway, and Thom Yorke (oh, and Nigel Godrich and Stanley Donwood too). To prove it he has bent every rule of club DJ etiquette by collecting, creating, and playing every Radiohead remix he can get his hands on. That this unique dance-floor meal is digested with both mainstream consternation and unbridled joy from the enlightened few, just encourages him to keep serving it. For the past 5 years, he has been cooking up complex extended sets of Radiohead material at his Electric Nostalgia tribute parties. This has led to the creation of dozens of remixes, mashups, edits, and vamps, the best of which, complied into the 11-track LP Subterranean Homemade Alchemy were released in August 2016 at subalchemy.com. We welcome MoPo back to Brooklyn Bowl on November 5 to play a late night post-Motet set of Subalchemy, including his tracks and the dozens of other amazing remixes that make up the world's obsession with its most influential rock band.
