The entirety of the Kazah resident DJ team will be throwing it down in our signature Kazbah Takeover style. A Back 2 Back format that is only made possible a few times per year yet never forgotten.

In a unique twist, we are starting this fundraiser off EARLY in the night as San Francisco house icon and longtime friend, atish, is set to open the night starting at 8:30 SHARPP.. Change ya game up folks and get here early.

Atish
Atish
The Atish experience: deep, emotive, ecstatic. It is more than the beautiful sounds emanating from the speakers, though, it is also the man behind the decks: warm, compassionate, inviting. In an age of oversized DJ egos there is still an artist who is devoted to connecting with his audience, a humble soul with a pure passion for music. This is Atish.

Atish occupies a rare space in dance music. At a time when most DJs rise to prominence primarily through their work as producers, Atish's success has been realized through his total devotion to the art of DJing. What began at a small gig back in 2010 in San Francisco has since flowered into a magical journey around the world at clubs, festivals, and afterhours on six of the seven continents.

Atish's natural talent and passion for music haven't gone unnoticed. Lee Burridge asked Atish to play on the legendary Robot Heart bus sound system at Burning Man in 2011, and Atish has been invited back every year since. He's also been honored to open for or tag with some of the most respected names in dance music including John Digweed, Danny Howells, Guy Gerber, M.A.N.D.Y., and Tyrant. Currently, Atish is on Listed Bookings' roster, and he is a resident at Listed's monthly party, Play, at San Francisco's world-renowned club, The Endup. He's also a resident of the Desert Hearts family, a West Coast collaborative who put on the highly respected semi-annual Desert Hearts festival.

Atish has also developed a strong online presence through Soundcloud. A prolific mixer, Atish produces a monthly podcast series that has allowed him to express a deeper, moodier sound. Scrolling through his extensive catalog of mixes, one can hear an artist passionate about music and dedicated to the perfection of his craft. Having achieved so much in such a short amount of time, the dance music community is excited to see how far he can go.
Papa Lu
Papa Lu
Born and raised in the San Francisco, Bay Area, Ca. Papa Lu had the chance to absorb all styles of music from Hip Hop to house as an adolescent. His first passion was with Hip Hop. As soon as he graduated from High School he dove right into the business of throwing Hip Hop shows at a venue called The DNA Lounge. He worked with some of the most classic artists of the true school era like Digable Planets, Digital Underground, Gang Starr, Kool Keith, Dj QBert, Jumi, Grand Wisord Theordore, and many more. During that time period more than a handful house music pioneers like Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Dj Sneak, Kaskade, Heather, Colette, etc were making their waves at that same venue and that's where Papa Lu had learned to love house music. Becoming a house music aficionado Papa Lu had then decided to make the transition into producing quality house music events. He still to this day produces a party named Night Moves at Monarch SF and other events as well in a few of the other fine established clubs of San Francisco. He's worked with artists such as Danny Daze, Jimmy Edgar, Poolside, Amine Edge & Dance, Doctor Dru, Walker & Royce, Lazaro Casanova, Claptone, Juan MacLean, Fur Coat, Crazy P, Noir, Moon Boots, John Tejada, J Boogie, Deejay Theory, Pacific Disco, etc. In the process of becoming deeply involved and passionate with finding new cutting edge artists to book Papa Lu cultivated himself as a quality dj opening and closing for the artists named above and is now in high demand to be added to other local events and more. For Papa Lu, his career as an innovative house dj has just nearly started an budding well. His production with Bryan Boogie (LifeSF/ 2nd Sunday) is in progress and expected to make a lot of traction.
