"Jonah Sun has blood and bones made of musical notes and rhythm. He’s one of those guys who can pick up any instrument and play you the song you just requested. He’s a natural-born performer known for very experimental sounds, pushing the boundaries of what we think of as hip-hop, indie and electronica. He manages to pull them all into one, gripping the listener tightly, laying his own vocals on top and bringing you on a musical journey of sorts, through emotional highs and lows. His voice is amazing, his productions are perfect and his stage presence is mesmerizingly energetic. Prepare for the journey."

In May of 2010, Kat Downs (Good Natured Mortals/Sparrows Point/Saints of Ruin) and Mike Thompson (Big Nasty/Tokyo Raid/Cougar Kick) teamed up to experiment with the combination of classical piano and rock drumming. Typically described as “The Dresden Dolls mixed with Muse and PJ Harvey”, the music they create also reflects evidence of Zeppelin, Beethoven, Rush and Rachmaninoff. The combination of Kat Downs’ ornate hands and hair flying with Mike Thompson’s flawless percussive mastery makes this duo the consummate definition of a “dream-team”.
“Digging for comparisons, you can find a little bit of everyone
from Nick Cave to Randy Newman, Amanda Palmer to Metallica in their work.
Just simply comparing this band, however, does Sit Kitty Sit a disservice.”
– Nicholas Schneider, The Bay Bridged
Following their 2010 and 2012 releases, “The Push” and “Beautiful/Terrible” respectively, Sit Kitty Sit hit the road and never looked back. Touring almost non-stop since 2013, the duo has built up a cult-style following all across the United States and have become known for consistently thrilling audiences with their energetically intense live performances. No holds barred, this group produces addictive rock n’ roll – with only two people, and not one guitar in sight.
“They seem to accomplish more with two people than most bands do with five.”
– Veronica Kirk, Black on the Canvas
2014 unleashed the release of Sit Kitty Sit’s third studio album, “Everlasting Fire”. Based entirely on Dante’s “Inferno”, this storyline album showcases the extensive versatility of Downs and Thompson as a team. Spanning seven genres and boasting 15 guest artists, the release shows us an entirely new side of the band while maintaining their identity. The album has been receiving rave reviews since it’s release.
This year, Sit Kitty Sit will once again be a featured performer at NAMM 2016 as guests of Killer-Q Instrument Straps, whose booth went on to win Best In Show in 2015. It will also bring more national and international touring as well as the release of several new singles starting with “Blood & Bones” in April 2016 through Sleepless Music Group/Top Notch/Universal Music Group, and multiple full- production music videos. The fall of 2016 will see another East Coast U.S. tour followed by their 2nd European tour. With the world at their fingertips, fans and critics alike are on the edge of their seats to see what artistic vision these crazy kids will come up with next.

Growing up in Boise, Idaho, bright-eyed Brian and stoic Phil met their match in each other, playing in the school jazz band on weekdays and a metal band on weekends and occasionally trying to outdo one another with out-there musical ideas.
When they parted ways after high school Brian attended Berklee College of Music and found himself in crisis under the self-imposed pressure of having officially chosen music as a career. Anxious, depressed, and pretty lost he stopped writing altogether and it would be years before he unwound enough to have fun with it again– later using plenty of dumb lyrics and unexpected musical turns to remind himself not to take himself too seriously. Phil meanwhile studied all styles of drumset playing with monk-like devotion at college in Southern California and began producing forward-thinking ambient electronic tracks, both experiences which he brings to Flour Flour.
They reunited in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2015 with a deeper appreciation of one another and began collaborating more intently than before, with Brian bringing songs to Phil to finish with his careful electronic production. Their music also comes with a strong visual element, with original lyric videos for each song created with the aid of Brian’s software development background. The two friends aim to create pop music that embodies the best of the values they’ve learned: playfulness, thoughtfulness, and strength.
