KMLN
KMLN
An international shapeshifting duo, KMLN (pronounced “Kameleon”) unites Italian producer / multi-instrumentalist Christopher Tooker and Canadian producer /fashion designer Shawna Hofmann. May it be a prime time or sunrise set, they adapt and deliver sets that blow your mind and bring your dance skills to the next level. Live instruments, syncopation, organic meets modern, future meets past. As interplanetary travelers and cultural explorers, the KMLN ship bends time through sound, blending elements of deep house/techno and global/future bass, moving through tempos with layers and layers of mind altering colors.

With the support of artists such as Nico Stojan, Acid Pauli, Bedouin, Damian Lazarus, Mira, DOP, Nicola Cruz and more, KMLN keeps surprising and raising the bar hitting # 8 top 100 releases, # 4 deep house, # 4 electronica /downtempo on Beatport. With write ups and features on publications such as XLR8R, Dancing Astronaut, Ear Milk, Resident Advisor, Ibiza Voice and making it into Beatport’s "must hear deep house”, their music is found on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Sol Selectas, Touch of Class and Endless.
Tone of Arc
Tone of Arc
Tone Of Arc is the San Francisco producer/musician/vocalist Derrick Boyd. ‘Urgent Turquoise’ (their first full-length album for Om Records), Tone of Arc deliver an epic 16 track sonic adventure, sublimely blending Nu-Disco, Techno, Deep House and Indie Dance sounds. Three and a half years in the making, TOA have created a truly inspired opus that highlight’s their articulate, playful writing style and Derrick Boyd’s masterfully rich production ingenuity. Tone Of Arc, in short means the sound of the laws of creation, a name born from the wonder of the sound that holds all things in the universe together.

Subtly woven into the tracks can be heard glimpses of Derrick's musical for bearers; a tinge of Talking Heads, a wisp of Tones on Tail and a majestic nod to Bowie. From the standout first single ‘The Best Place to Fall’ (KCRW Song of The Day) to the sing along pop playfulness of ‘Shutters are Shaking', the KCRW - Garth Trinidad electronic favorite 'Tear Drops on the Moon', to the truly uplifting ‘Provoco’, TOA reassures us ‘everything’s gonna be alright’. Two unforgettable covers on Urgent Turquoise are; Spandau Ballet’s ‘Chant No.1’ and Portishead’s ‘The Rip’. The musicianship and creativity is on full display here. Every listen gives a deeper experience to the album, as new standouts constantly jump out, and satisfy.

Tone Of Arc, AKA Derrick Boyd has a live show that is something rarely experienced on the dance floor. Resident Advisor describes TOA as "a perfect performance piece leaving no one on the dance floor short of enthralled". While singing, playing guitar, bass, and keys during a fully mixed slew of original songs, their sense of bravado and daring blurs the line between traditional live performance and microprocessor obsessed futurism. Tone Of Arc has played at some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world several times over including Fabric London, Panorama Bar Berlin, BPM Festival Playa Del Carmen, Pacha Buenos Aires, Warung and D Edge Brazil to name a few from a reputably strong list.

Prior to their latest LP Urgent Turquoise, TOA released 3 EP's in 2012/2013 with remixes by Deniz Kurtel, Luca C. and Prinz Thomas leading up to their debut full length album The TIme Was Right in May of 2013 with record label No.19 Music. In 2014, NY based Touch Of Class Records (co-owned by Michael Tello of Pillow Talk) released the Retox EP including 3 originals, a remix by Signal Flow, Pattern Drama and 2 remixes by Eric Volta.
Lisbona
Lisbona
Both of these ladies were born in Atlantic City, NJ which obviously explains a lot. Their father is a musician and was the Director of Entertainment at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. They grew up around serious talent, even kicking it with the Rat Pack at early ages.

They moved to California before they were in New Jersey long enough to develop accents and became best friends early on. As kids, they made up many dance routines to Ace of Base's "The Sign" album and religiously listened to TLC's "Crazy Sexy Cool", even dressing like the group one year for Halloween. Between their mother and father, sharing a nearly 20-year age difference, they were exposed to a broad range of musical tastes.

In their adulthood, Laura moved to San Francisco and Ava to Orange County, and the sisters realized they weren't capable of being away from another. After Ava finished college, she promptly moved up the city so she and her sister could once again kill it on the regular. Thank God.
Benjamin K
Benjamin K
It's a booty shakin sort of a thing.

A small town boy at heart, Benjamin was born and raised in Colorado, graduating from college in the small mountain town Durango, CO. With influences of everyone from Sasha to Prince, Whitney Houston to Tale of Us his sound is best described with two words...lust and love. After making a name for himself behind the decks, playing alongside heavy hitters the world over, and working to throw and host absurd theme parties that were consistently sold out and ample amounts of strange…..he decided it was time to pursue the life of happiness for real, packed his bags, quit his career teaching, and moved out to San Francisco. Now with just three years under his belt in the city, he's been able to pick up where he left off….and then some. Creating a monthly in the city called 'You're Welcome', bringing in some old and new favorites from all across the underground, and all across the world, has catapulted him to a consistent name stay in the SF underground. It's begun, but you've only just seen the tip…

Elz
Elz
Having been djing since 1998, Elz brings a blend of oldschool funky flavor and dirty electro sounds to her beats. Growning up listening to oldschool breaks and house music from DJ Dan and Mark Farina along with discovering classic rock, jazz, hip-hop, and funk music she learned how to incorporate all of these elements together to create some serious flavor. She came from the underground to deliver the sound. Her first gig was in 1998 at X.O.X. 2 at the infamous 2nd and Jackson in Oakland. She then started playing at Beat Down Sundaze and became resident for Feel Good's Girl Power and played at massives like MegaBuzz, Love Affair as well as Sister SF. In 2001 Elz won best new DJ contest on House Nation (94.9 FM) in SF. She became their new resident DJ, and also won a guest appearance on the main stage at Coolworld's Cyberfest in SF and in Texas. In 2003 she won 2nd place in 92.7 Party FM Showcase at 1015 Folsom in SF.

She began getting gigs for Adidas, Puma, and Odyssey DJ Gear and in 2007 brought a new residency with the infamous SF crew Green Gorilla Lounge. Shortly after in March 2008 Elz graduated Ex'pression College with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Sound Arts and after graduation she was selected to intern for DJ Shadow. She assisted in preparation for the launch of DJ Shadow Digital (The DJ Shadow Digital Store), myspace management, web store management, and processed sound samples for the Dj Shadow digital store.

In 2009 Elz and Denise released their remix track "Get Back into The Groove Again" on Muzimo Records shortly followed by their orignal track "All Night" feat. Audio Angel, a remix of Sue Cho's "Bad Girl" and a remix of Denise and Dawn of Sound's "Death by Mary Jane" feat. Elise on Look Out Records. "Soul Power" and "Useless" produced by DJ Elz, written and performed by Elise were picked up by Chris Lum and David Harness for their label, Harlum Muziq in 2010. And a year later remixes were released by Master Kev and Tony Loreto, Stephen Rigmaiden, Rubien Mancias, Grand High Priest, and Reelsoul, and are still charting well all over the web. With a string of gigs in Miami, L.A., Tahoe, and all over the bay area including SF's famous 2nd Sunday and numerous gigs with West City including Temple SF, be sure to keep an ear to the ground and keep posted on her new tracks on Moulton Music and upcoming events...Elz is driven by a constant urge to push herself and evolve while always staying true to herself as an artist. For her its all about the music!
Brunch Life
Brunch Life
Micah picked up DJing at the very early age of 1.5, stunning his family and securing his future as a party prodigy. Unfortunately, due to a freak turntable accident on his tenth birthday, Micah developed a fear of spinning records. His family and friends encouraged him to conquer his fear and continue along the path to DJ stardom, but alas he could not be swayed. Micah went twenty whole years without picking up the needle again. Wait...that sounded weird. He went twenty years without DJing, ok? Anyway, he's come a long way on the road to recovery, and is finally ready to get back behind the decks and create some aural magic.
